Saute the onions and add the carrots, cook for about 5 min. Peel the skins of the potatoes, and cut it in large chunks.
Add potatoes, makrel and beets (optional) to carrots and onions. Cook for another 5 min. (or more) until all the ingredients are thoroughly warmed up. Season with salt and pepper. Serve!
