Cream sugar and margarine. Mix in egg and flavorings. Stir dry ingredients together; blend into sugar-margarine mixture. Refrigerate 2 - 3 hours.

Heat oven to 370º. Using half of the dough at a time, roll out to 3/16" thickness. Cut into shapes. Place on lightly greased baking sheet.

Bake 7 - 8 minutes until delicately golden. Decorate with Easy Creamy Decorating Icing.

Easy Creamy Decorating Icing: Blend 1 cup sifted confectioners' sugar, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp vanilla and enough water to make icing easy to squeeze through decorating tube yet hold its shape. Tint portions with food color as needed.
