     Great-Grandma Dorothy's Raisen Creams

Ingredients
1 C Shortening
1 1/2 C Sugar
2 Eggs
2 C Raisens
2 C Boiling Water
1 tsp Baking Soda
3 1/2 C Flour
1/2 tsp Salt
2 tsp Cinnamon
 
2 C Powdered Sugar
3 Tbsp Melted Butter
1 tsp Milk

Instructions
Preheat Oven to 350 degress. Simmer Water and Raisens untill a dark liquid forms.
Mix Shortening, Sugar & eggs. Add 1 C of Raisen juice & Baking soda. Mix.
Mix Flour, Salt & Cinnamon. Gradually add to Sugar Mixture, making smooth between additions. Add Raisens. Stir till just mixed. Spread onto Butterd and Floured cookie sheet with sides. Bake 20 Minutes untill just beginning to brown.
While it is baking, mix Powdered Sugar & Melted Butter. Gradually add Milk, mixing untill smooth between additions. Pour and spread over warm Cake. Cool. Cut into squares.
