Cream together soft butter and sugar; add flour and eggs, beating. Stir in buttermilk, vanilla and nutmeg; pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes for large pie, 30 to 40 minutes for 2 small pies.
NOTE: recommend 2 small pies.
