Creamy Pasta w/ Sausage and Tomatoes

2 tablespoons olive oil
|
|
1 lb crumbled sausage
|
|
1/2 tsp. dried, red pepper flakes
|
|
1/2 c. dried onions
|
|
3 minced garlic cloves
|
|
1 28-oz. can plum tomatoes (drained and coursely chopped)
|
|
1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
|
|
1/2 teaspoon salt
|
|
12 ounces pasta (bow ties suggested)
|

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

Instructions |
|
|
Heat oil over medium heat and add sausage and pepper flakes. Cook until sausage is no longer pink, stirring frequently (about 7 minutes)
|

|
Add onion and garlic and cook until onions are tender and the sausage is light brown.
|
|
|
Add tomatoes, cream and salt. Simmer until mixture thickens lightly (about 4 minutes)
|
|
|
Cook pasta and mix together to serve.
