350 degrees. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside. In large bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Add eggs. Melt squares of chocoate over low heat, cool, and add to mixture.
Beating well, add flour mixture. Stir in chopped nuts. Spread batter into greased and floured 13x9x2 inch baking dish. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
Frosting- Melt 1 oz. of chocolate over low heat. Melt butter, and combine with chocolate. Add vanilla. Mix well. Alternately blend milk with confectioners' sugar. Beat until smooth. Frost cooled brownies. Cut into squares. Makes 24 - 2 inch squares.
