     Hash Brown Soup

Ingredients
1 stalk celery
1 tsp onion salt (or 1/2 cup chopped onion)
1 can chicken broth
16 oz frozen hash browns
1/2 pound of Velveeta cheese, cubed
1 can cream of chicken (or mushroom) soup
3/4 cup of milk
2 tsp Mrs Dash seasoning with garlic
bacon bits to taste
 

Instructions
Boil celery and onion salt in broth until tender. Add hash browns and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and add cheese, stirring until melted. Add remaining ingredients except bacon bits. Simmer about 1 hour. Add bacon bits just before serving, or let individuals add their own taste.
Serving Suggestions
Good with heavy whole wheat bread.
