Ingredients

	1/2 cup shortning (part butter or oleo)
	1 cup sugar
	1egg
	1tsp. vanilla
	2 2/3 cups flour
	1 tsp. baking powder
	1/2 tsp soda
	1/2 tsp salt
	1/4 tsp nutmeg

1/2 cup sour cream


Instructions


Heat oven to 425 degrees. Mix shortning, sugar, egg and vanilla thoroughly.


Blend dry ing; add to sugar mixture alternately with sour cream.


Divide dough, roll out 1/2 inch thick on well-floured board. Cutout and place on greased baking sheet. Sprinkle with sugar.


Bake 5 - 6 min.


Serving Suggestions

If going to frost, don't sprinkle with sugar.
