     Chocolate Chip Cookie

2 cups and 2 tbsp all purpose flour
half tsp baking soda
1 and a half sticks unsalted butter, melted and cooled
1 c light brown sugar, packed
half c granulated sugar
half tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
1 egg and 1 egg yolk
1 and a half chocolate chips

Adjust oven racks to upper and lower middle positions. Heat oven to 325 Whisk flour, baking soda, salt together in bowl. Add dry ingredients and beat on low until just combined. Stir in chips.
Roll 1/4 dough into ball. Pull in 1/2. For big cookies,place jagged ends face up and mash together at base. For small ones, put each jagged end face up separately. Place 12 to a cookie sheet. Bake, reversing position of cookie sheets about 2 minutes into baking - top to bottom and front to back -, until cookies are light golden brown and outer edges start to harden yet centers are still soft and puffy - will look slightly uncooked. Cool cookies on cookie sheets and peel from parchment paper.
Total cook time- 15-18 minutes Serves- big cookies - 2 dozen and small cookies - 4 dozen
