2 - 2.5 lbs. beef round steak
|
|
1/4 cup flour
|
|
1 tsp. salt
|
|
1/4 tsp. pepper
|
|
1 1/2 tbsp. oil
|
|
1 large onion, sliced
|
|
1 10 oz. can of condensed tomato soup
|
|
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
|
|
1 large garlic clove, minced
|

Instructions |

|
Cut round steak into 1 inch cubes. In a small bowl combine flour, salt and pepper. Cover the meat in the seasoned flour, using all of the flour.

In a large skillet, brown meat in hot oil. Add remaining ingredients, cover and simmer for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours, or until the meat is tender.
|

|
Peas, beans or mushrooms can be added to the swiss steak. Add peas or beans toward the end of cooking. Add mushrooms with the onions at the beginning.

|
Serve with hot cooked potatoes or noodles.
