7 c. cucumbers, ground
|

3 onions, ground
|
|
2 c. pepper, ground
|

3/4 c. pickling salt
|
|
1 1/2 qt. hard water
|
|
1 qt. vinegar
|
|
3 c. sugar
|
|
1 T. mustard seed
|
|
|
|
1 T. celery seed
|
|
You can grate a little carrot in this for color if you wish. Optional.

Instructions |

|
First day cover the ground cucumbers, onions and peppers, add salt and 1 1/2 qt. of hard water. Let this mixture stand overnight in a cool dry place.
|

|
Next morning drain well. Then add the remaining ingredients and bring to a slow boil for 20 minutes. Put in clean and sterilized jars and seal.
