Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook and drain macaroni.
Cube velveeta and mix with hot macaroni in a large mixing bowl.
Cut 1 stick of butter and mix as well.

Crush 1 sleeve of ritz (or saltine) crackers in a ziploc bag.
Mix 1 cup in with the macaroni mixture.

|
|
Spread mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Pour one can of evaporated milk over the mixture.
Add just enough water (if needed) to come to the top of the mixture.

|
Sprinkle remaining crackers on top of pan.
Bake for one hour at 350 degrees or until cheese and crackers are browned.
