In large nonstick skillet, cook sausage over medium-high heat, turning frequently, for 10 minutes. Drain on paper towels. Cut into 1 inch pieces. Cover to keep warm. Wipe skillet clean.
Cook pasta, adding no salt.
In skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add onion, pepper and mushrooms. Cook, stirring frequently, until crisp tender, about 6 minutes. Add garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook, stirring for one minute. Add tomatoes and basil. Cook until heated through, about 2 minutes.
Drain pasta. Add sausage to vegetable mixture and serve over pasta. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Hint - This dish is good without the sausage, just the pasta and vegetables.
