Let cream cheese and butter soften to room temp. Mix cream cheese and butter, add flour. Chill about 1 hour. Shape into balls or break off a piece and work around tiny muffin tins like pie crust.
Mix pecan filling (brown sugar, butter, egg, vanilla, salt, pecans). Fill cups. Bake 325 degrees for 25 minutes and let cool before removing from pan.
