Cedar Planked Salmon

Category   Entrees - Maindishes
Sub Category   Grilling

Ingredients
-
Salmon filets, 6-8 oz per person
-
Seasoning salt
-
Lemon Pepper
-
Fresh ground black pepper
-
Garlic powder
-
Lemon, finely sliced
-
Cedar Plank(s)
-
Wine
-
Water

Instructions
In a baking pan, or any pan with a lip, combine liquids to soak cedar planks. Use one part wine for two parts water. Use a can, or whatever is handy, to weigh down the plank. Soak for a minimum of 30 min, about one hour is great.
Preheat your grill, then set up for indirect grilling. On our 5 burner grill- middle burner,3, is off; burners 2 and 4 on medium; and burners 1 and 5 high.
Season salmon with seasoning salt, pepper, lemon pepper and garlic powder. Place directly on the cedar plank, top with lemon slices.
Grill salmon for 25-40 minutes. This will vary for each grill and grill-master. Serve salmon from the plank because it doesn't come away cleanly for any other presentation.
Serving Suggestions
Serve with fresh lemon slices and onion tarter sauce.
