     Martha's Pound Cake

3 sticks butter/margarine
8oz cream cheese (softened)
3 cups all purpose flour
3 cups sugar
6 eggs
1-1/2 tsp. vanilla (lemon)

Cream together the butter/margarine and cream cheese.
Add eggs one at a time, beating 2 minutes after each egg. Add a cup of sugar at the time beating well after each addition; then add a cup of flour at the time, beating well afterwards.
Add 1-1/2 tsp. of vanilla or lemon
Bake for 2 hours on 300; check after one hr and ck again after 1-1/2 hrs.
