Ingredients
1/4 cup salad oil or melted shortening
1 beaten egg
1/2 cup milk
1-1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
3/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
TOPPING-
 
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon melted butter
1/2 cups broken nuts

Instructions
Combine salad oil, egg, and milk. Sift together dry ingredients and add to milk mixture; mix well. Pour into greased 9 by 9 pan.
For topping- Combine brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, melted butter and nuts; sprinkle over butter. Bake in moderate oven 375 degrees for about 25 minutes or until done. Serve warm.
