     Grammy’s Pot Roast

Servings   6-8

Ingredients
3½ - 4 lb. first cut beef brisket
6-8 onions, cut up
12 oz. jar chili sauce
salt and pepper to taste
 

Instructions
Brown meat on all sides in Dutch oven. Discard fat. Add cut up onions and chili sauce. Cover tightly
Bake 325º oven for 2½ hours. Cool meat until able to handle for slicing, across grain
If prefer smooth sauce, put through strainer. Return meat to sauce and continue cooking until tender.
Check during cooking if sauce too thick, add small amount of water. Can cook in crock pot on low for 8-10 hours
