     Split Pea Soup

Ingredients
Large ham bone (Honey baked if possible)
Extra ham slices/ pieces
12 cups water
14 oz. can vegetable broth
2 packages-32 oz. total of green split peas
Chopped celery (3 stalks)
Chopped brown onion (1/2 of onion)
1/2 carrot, chopped.
Lawry's seasoned salt, a little coarse salt, pepper.
 

Instructions
Cook ham in about 12 cups of water plus 14 oz. can vegetable broth. (About 1 1/2 to 2 hours) Until meat falls off bone.
Strain broth. Rinse green split peas. Add to broth. Add vegetables.
Add salt and pepper. Cook all for about 2 hours.
