     Coleslaw, Italian Style

Ingredients
1 medium head cabbage, shredded very fine
1 medium onion, sliced
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup cider vinegar
3/4 cup salad oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon celery seed
1 teaspoon dry mustard
 

Instructions
Put cabbage in a large bowl or plastic container; add onion. Sprinkle with 3/4 cup sugar. Bring to a boil, 2 tablespoons sugar and remaining ingredients and pour over cabbage. Cover and let stand in the refrigerator 4-6 hours. Mix well.
