Cut cucumbers in slices, sprinkle with salt. Let stand 3 hours in crock or enamel pot.
Drain. Add sliced onions and other ingredients and cook until mixture has boiled well.
Stir pickles around until all the bright green of pickles disappears. Put in jars.
