4 (32 oz) whole vlasic originial dill pickles, drained, sliced fairly thick
|

8 cups sugar (remove 2 cups from a 5 lb bag)
|
|
4 tbls tabasco sauce (2 oz bottle)
|
|
1 cup water
|
|
1 tsp red pepper flakes (or more if desired)
|
|
33 - 36 whole peeled garlic cloves
|
|

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

|
|
|
|

Instructions |
|
|
Mix all ingredients (except garlic) in a very large bowl. Cover and let stand 2 - 3 hours, stirring occassionaly.
|
|
|
Meanwhile, wash 11 - 12 pint size jars in dishwasher.
|
|
|
Alternate layers of garlic cloves (3 - 4 per pint) and pickles, until filled to the top of jar.
|
|
|
Keep refrigerated.
|
