Category   Entrees - Maindishes
Sub Category   Kids
Servings   16 hard tacos
Preptime   15 minutes

Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 medium-size onion, thinly sliced
1-1/2 pounds ground beef
1 tablespoon chili powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
16 hard taco shells (about 6-inch)

1-1/2 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
1/2 pint cherry tomatoes, each cut into eighths
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 small onion, finely diced
1/2 cup bottled taco sauce

Instructions
Heat oven to 375°F.
Heat oil in large nonstick skillet, over medium-high heat. Add onion; cook until onion is softened, about 3 minutes. Add beef; cook, stirring with wooden spoon to break up, until beef is no longer pink, 5 to 7 minutes.
Add chili powder, salt, cumin and red pepper; cook, stirring, 1 minute. Stir in tomato sauce. Bring to boiling. Lower heat to medium. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Heat taco shells in 375°F oven for about 5 minutes. Spoon about 1/4 cup meat mixture into each shell. Serve with lettuce, tomato, cheese, diced onion and taco sauce.
