Combine all ingredients, bake at 350 until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Frosting
1 cup milk
3 TBS. flour - Combine, cook and stir until thick. Cool in refrigerator
1 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter Combine and cream. Add to cooled mixture. Beat
1/2 cup shortening for 2 minutes.
1/2 cup sugar
Cut cake layers horizontally so that there are 4 layers. Spread frosting on layers and assemble. Do not frost sides of cake.
