1 lb. Sharp Cheddar Cheese
1 lb. Butter
4 cups Sifted Flour
1/4 tsp. Salt
1/8 to 1/4 tsp. Cayenne Pepper ( the more, the spicier)
Pecan Halves

Mix cheese and butter at roomtemperature. Add flour, salt, and cayenne. Mix Well. Make logs and cut into thin slices. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Mash a pecan in each. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 325 degrees and continue baking for 20 to 25 more minutes.
