Preheat oven to 350. With an electric mixer blend cream cheese and butter until smooth. One at a time, blending inbetween, add in egg, vanilla and cake mix.
Cover bowl and refrigerate for 2 hours. Roll chilled batter into tablespoon size balls. Roll balls in powdered sugar. Placed on ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
Bake for 12 minutes. Cookies should be soft and gooey. Cool completely and dust with powdered sugar.
