     Hot Buttered Rum

3 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp allspice
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup butter
2 quarts hot water
2 cups dark brown cane sugar
2 cups spiced rum
whipping cream

Combine the spices in a small bowl and set aside. Empty a tea bag and fill it with the spice mixture. Combine hot water, vanilla, butter, brown sugar, and spice bag in a crock pot. Set the crock pot to high for 3 hours or low for 6 hours. Stir in the rum and serve with fresh whipped cream and a sprinkle of nutmeg!
Serving Suggestions
It can be a little strong , so you may want to add the rum to taste.
