|
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Place sausage & onion in a dutch oven or deep frying pan
Cook over medium heat until no longer pink
Add mushrooms & cook an additional 5 minutes, stirring frequently

Reduce heat
Add sauce & tomato paste
Simmer for 20 minutes
|
|
|
|
Slice french bread in half length wise, then slice into 4-6 pieces
Place bread in oven & bake for 5 minutes
|
|
|
|
Spoon meat/sauce mixture onto bread & sprinkle with cheese
Place in oven & broil until cheese starts to melt
Serve & enjoy
