Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Thoroughly cream butter and sugar. Add egg, milk, vanilla and almond extract; beat well. Stir together flour and baking powder; gradually add to creamed mixture, mixing to make a smooth dough. Do no chill. Place dough into Cookie Press and press cookies onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned around edges. Remove cookies from sheet; cool on rack.
For holiday spirit, divide dough and add food coloring. Halloween orange and black, Thanksgiving yellow, orange and brown, Christmas green and red, Valentine's pink and red, Easter pastels such as pink, lt. blue, lt. green, you can get a variety of colors from crafts stores such as Michael's.
If cookies seem too dry try, first reducing cooking time, second reduce oven temp. to 350 degrees F, third reduce amount of flour. I have had success with these cookies just the way they are, but due to oven differences (temp. can be off as much as 75 degrees) and altitude recipes can vary slightly.
