     Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
6 oz. milk chocolate chips
1 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
3/4 c. granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 1/4 c. unsifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
 
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions
Heat oven to 375ºF. Stir flour with baking soda and salt; set aside. In large mixing bowl, beat butter with sugar and brown sugar at meduim speed until creamy and lightened in color. Add eggs and vanilla, one at a time. Mix on low speed until incorporated. Gradually blend dry mixture into creamed mixture. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips. Drop by tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown
You can substitute the chocolate chip combination for any combination equalling 12 oz. i.e. white chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, peanut butter chips, 60% cacao chocolate chips.
