     Scalloped Potatoes

Ingredients
2 pounds potatoes (about 6 medium)
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
3 tablespoons flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1/4 cup butter
21/2 cup milk
1 1/3 cup grated cheese
 

Instructions
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Wash potatoes peel,remove eyes. Cut potatoes into thin slices to measure about 4 cups
In greased 2 quart casserole, arrange a thin layer of potatoes in 3 layer, sprinklin each of the first 3 layer with 1 tablespoon onion,1 tablespoon flour,1/4 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp pepper 1/3 cup cheese and 1 tablespoon butter dotted on top. Sprinkly top with reamining onion, salt pepper, cheese and dot with remaining butter.
Heat milk just to scalding (about two and one half minutes in microwave) Pour over potatoes. Cover, bake 30 minutes. Uncover, bake 60 - 70 minutes longer or until potatoes are tender. Let stand 5 to 10 minutes before serving
