1 tsp unsalted butter or margarine, at room temperature

1/3 cup granulated sugar
|
|
1 cup 1% milk
|
|
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
|
|
2 large eggs
|
|
2 large egg whites
|

1 tsp vanilla extract
|
|
1/8 tsp almond extract
|
|
2 cups pitted sweet cherries
|
|

1 1/2 tsp confectioners sugar
|

Instructions |

|
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Coat an 8-inch square baking dish with butter or margarine and dust with 1 tsp of granulated sugar.

In a blender, combine remaining granulated sugar, milk, flour, eggs, egg whites, and vanilla and almond extracts. Blend until smooth.

|
Pour half of batter into preapred baking dish. Add cherries and pour in remaining batter.
|
|
|
Bake for 20-30 mins, or until clafouti si puffed, browned, and firm. Transfer to a wire rack to cool slightly.
Dust confectioners sugar over top.
