In a large skillet, mix pesto sauce and 3/4 cup broth. Add chicken and mix well. Cover and cook over medium heat for 5 mins, stirring occasionally.
Meanwhile, cook fettuccine according to package directions. Place in a large bowl, and toss with remaining 1/4 cup broth. Season with pepper. Add chicken mixture and toss to coat. Serve with tomatoes.
