     Baked Peach French Toast

Ingredients
10-14 slices (1-inch thick) French bread
1 can (29 oz) peach slices, drained
1/4 cup nuts, chopped
1 cup milk
1/3 cup maple syrup
3 eggs
2 Tbs butter or margarine, melted
1 Tbs sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
 
1 tsp vanilla
1 package (3 oz) cream cheese, softened

Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Spread cream cheese onto both sides of bread slices. Place into 9x13-inch baking dish. Prick bread slices several times and top with peaches. Chop nuts and sprinkle over peaches.
Combine remaining ingredients in a large bowl; whisk together. Pour egg mixture over bread. Bake 20-25 minutes or until egg mixture is set.
Serving Suggestions
Substitutions- Can replace peach slices with 1 large apple, peeled, cored and sliced.
