     Chocolate Caramel Cookie Bar

Ingredients
9 T unsalted butter--room temp
1/4 c. packed light brown sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp table salt
10 1/2 ounces milk chocolate chopped (2 c.)
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. water
6 T unsalted butter
 
1 c. heavy cream
1/2 tsp table salt
1 T sea salt

Instructions
350. Use parchment. Crust- beat butter, and brown sugar til pale and fluffy about 3 min. Add flour, salt and beat til combined. Press into 9 inch pan and bake til light brown...30 min.
Carmel- Place chocolate in med. bow. Heat sugar and water in small saucepan until amber....10-12 min. remove from hear add buttter, cream and salt. Bring to boil, stirring until smooth. Pour over chocolate. Let stand 2 min. Stir to combine and let stand until cool about 10 min
Pour over crust. Chill 4 hrs or overnite. Run a knife around edges; lift parchment to remove whole bar from pan. Sprinkle with sea salt. Trim edges and cut into 16 bars. Can refrigerate up to 3 days.
