     Peanut Brittle

Category   Desserts - Breads
Sub Category   None

Ingredients
1 cup White Karo Syrup
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup hot water
2 cups raw unsalted peanuts
1 heaping teaspoon soda
2 tablespoons butter or margarine

Instructions
Boil karo, sugar and water until spins thread. This means that when you lift the spoon out of the pot about 12 inches you will see a very thin thread wafting from the spoon.
Add peanuts and cook until turns golden brown.
Remove from fire and add soda and margarine. Beat quickly (it will foam quite a lot) and spread on butter cookie sheet, spreading thin.
Serving Suggestions
Be VERY CAREFUL with this hot mixture. It can easily burn you.
