1 ( 4 to 4 1/2 lb.) chuck roast, trimmed and cut in half
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 (10 3/4-oz.) can condensed French Onion Soup
1 (10 3/4-oz) can golden mushroom soup
1/2 cup of water
1 bay leaf
Instructions
Place first 3 ingredients in a 5-to 6- qt slow cooker. Place roast on vegetables, and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Whisk together in bowl, French onion soup, mushroom soup, and water; pour mixture over beef. Add bay leaf. Cover and cook on High for 1 hour. Reduce heat to low and cook 7 hours.
