     Grandma's Butterscotch Pie

Ingredients
1 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons flour
3 tablespoons water
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup canned milk
2 egg yolks
1 teaspoon vanilla
 

Instructions
Mix the first four ingredients together in a sauce pan. Add the canned milk, stir constantly. Cook on low until it starts to thicken.
Separate the eggs. Save the whites for the meringue top. Beat egg yolks quickly into the hot mixture until it gets pudding-like thick.
Add vanilla when done and stir thoroughly. Let cool. Pour into a pie crust of your choice or bowls.
Meringue. Beat egg whites with an electric mixer until stiff. Add 2 tablespoons sugar until whites will stand in peaks. Cover pie. Brown meringue in oven.
