Ingredients
1 QUART MILK
3 EGGS, SEPARATED
1 CUP SUGAR
4 SCANT TBSP FLOUR
1 15 OZ CAN CARNATION MILK
1 TBSP SUGAR
NUTMEG AND WHISKEY TO TASTE
 

Instructions
HEAT 1 QUART MILK TO A SKIM. DO NOT BOIL. WHILE HEATIING MILK, BEAT 3 EGG YOLKS UNTIL CREAMY; THEN ADD SUGAR AND FLOUR GRADUALLY TO EGGS UNTIL BLENDED. NEST ADD THIS MISTURE TO MILK. REHEAT ALL AND ALLOW TO THICKEN FOR 5 MIN., CONTINUOUSLY STIRRING. REMOVE FROM HEAT AND LET COOL FOR TEN MIN. THEN ADD CARNATION MILK.
WHILE MISTURE SETS, ADD TWO TABLESPOONS SUGAR TO EGGS WHITES AND BEST UNTIL STIFF. PUT STIFFENED EGG WHITES INTO MIXTURE AND BEAT UNTIL COMPLETELY DISSOLVED.
I DESIRED, NUTMEG AND WHISKEY MAY THEN BE ADDED TO TASTE.
