     Shepherd’s Pie

Ingredients
2 lbs Potatoes
1 lb extra lean ground beef
¼ tsp ground all spice
Salt & Pepper
¼ cup onions, peeled & thinly sliced
¼ cup water
2 cups fresh or frozen corn or you can substitute with mixed veggies
2/3 cup skim milk
1/3 cup heavy cream
 

Instructions
Mix together meat, all spice, salt & pepper. Brown, then remove. Add onions to the fat & caramelized till deep golden brown. Cook Potatoes. Mash the potatoes, but do not let them get too runny (thick). Combine corn and meat mixture, and then pour into baking dish. Spread Mashed potatoes on top and bake @ 350 degrees for 30 minutes. The put under broiler for a few minutes to brown the top, then let the dish sit for 20 minutes to allow it to firm up.
