     Hungarian Goulash Stew

Ingredients
1 lg onion - diced
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 1/4 lb hamburg
1 garlic clove
2 Tbsp good paprika
6 cups beef bouillon
2 cups warm water
1 - 16oz can whole tomatoes (chopped)
1 green bell pepper - diced
 
spaetzle (recipe below)

Instructions
Saute onion in olive oil. Add hamburg and garlic. Saute till meet is done. Stir in paprika. After paprika is absorbed, add warm water and beef bouillon. stir in tomatoes and green pepper. Add more water and paprika, if necessary. Bring to a boil. Drop in uncooked spaetzle. Soup is ready when spaetzle is cooked through.
Spaetzle 2 cups flour 1 tsp salt 2 eggs 3/4 cup milk Combine flour and salt. Mix eggs and milk - stir into flour mixture. Pinch pieces of dough from larger round of dough and drop into the water. (I use a spoon to pinch off the dough - spaetzle makers also exist.) Cook for approximately 5 minutes (till the spaetzle float).
