     Alfredo light

Ingredients
1 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic
2 tsp vegetable oil
2 cups skim milk
1 cup chicken broth
3 tbls all purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
 
16 oz. dry fettucine pasta
1 (16ox.) pkg frozen broccoli florets

Instructions
In a medium saucepan, heat oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, and saute until golden brown.
In a small sauce pan, stir together mikl, chicken broth, flour, salt and pepper over low heat, stirring frequently, until the sauce is thick.
Stir in parmesan cheese. Cook pasta in boiling watger. Add broccoli to the pasta for the last several minutes of cooking.
continue cooking until pasta is done. Drain the pasta and vegetables,a nd transfer to a large bowl and toss with sauce
