     Slow Cooker Italian Beef Sandwiches

Ingredients
3 lb boneless beef sirloin or rump roast, cut into 2-3 inch pieces
1/3 c. water
1 - 0.7 oz. pkg. Italian dry salad dressing mix
1 tsp. Italian seasoning, crushed
1/4-1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
8 kaiser rolls or other sandwich rolls, split
roasted sweet red pepper strips
 

Instructions
Place beef in a 3-4 quart slow cooker. In a small bowl, stir together the water, salad dressing mix, Italian seasoning, crushed red pepper, and garlic powder. pour over beef in cooker.
Cover and cook on low heat setting for 10-12 hours or on high heat setting for 5-6 hours.
Using a slotted spoon, transfer beef to a cutting board. Use two forks to shred beef. To serve, spoon shredded beef onto half of each roll; drizzle with some of the cooking liquid to moisten. If desired, top with roasted red pepper strips. Cover with remaining roll halves.
