Preheat oven 350.
In saucepan saute celery, carrot, onion, garlic and mushroom until celery is tender. (carrot will have bit of crunch depending on how thick you cut them). put chopped chicken and can of cream of chicken soup and heat through.
Put this mixture in a baking dish, top with mashed potatoes and garnish with cheese.
Bake in oven until potatoes are golden brown and cheese is melted.
