Dump cherry pie filling into 9x13 pan.
Dump pineapple all over cherries.
Dump cake mix all over the pineapple and smooth it over.
Place the pats of margarine evenly over the cake mix.
Cover with pecan halves.
Bake at 350 for 50 minutes.
Can be served warm or cold.
