     Clam Chowder

Ingredients
1 2/3 cooked chopped clams (about 2 cans)
2 ounces salt pork or 4-8 slices bacon, fried, chopped, fat drained
2 cups chopped onion
1 cup chopped celery
1/4 cup chopped carrot
1/4 cup butter (or use some bacon fat)
3 cup diced potatoes
2 or 3 boullion cubes
1/2 tsp. sugar
 
1/2 tsp. vinegar
2 cups 1/2 & 1/2 cream
2 cups milk
2 or more T worcestershire sauce
vegeta to taste
clam juice if availible

Instructions
Fry onion, celery, carrot in butter.
To pot add potatoes, boullion cubes and clam juice (optional) and just cover with water; boil for 10 minutes. Add sugar and vinegar, continue cooking until tender.
Add all ingredints together. Simmer 5 - 20 minutes. Let sit 20 minutes before serving.
Option- If thicker consistency desired make a rough(butter/flour) and add.
