     Falafel

Ingredients
1 pound can chick peas, drained
1 large onion, chopped
2T finely chopped parsley
1 egg
1 tsp.salt
1 tsp. garlic powder or 2 cloves
1 tsp. cumin
1/2-3/4 cup bread crumps or slices bread, wet; squeezed
 

Instructions
To a food processor add all ingredients except bread. Process then add crumbs. Process again.
Form into balls the size of a quarter. Flatten slightly before frying.
Fry in hot deep oil untill golden. Drain on paper towels. Serve inside pita with chopped tomato, cucumber, lettuce, onions and carrot.
Serving Suggestions
sauce-1 egg, 1/ c. red wine vinigar,1/2 tsp. salt-blend then add slowly 1 c. sunflower oil. Process till thickened
