     Chicken and Asparagus Pasta Toss (7 pts)

Ingredients
1 lb uncooked rotini
2 tsp olive oil
1 Tbsp butter
3 cups asparagus, cut in 1 inch slices
2 cups chopped onion
1 Tbsp hot sauce
1 tsp crushed red pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
 
1 (6 oz) package precooked chicken strips
1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes, drained slightly
3/4 cup preshredded Parmesan cheese
1 tsp paprika

Instructions
Cook pasta according to package directions, omitting salt and fat. Drain. Combine pasta and oil in a large bowl, toss well.
Melt butter in Dutch oven over medium heat; add asparagus, onion, hot sauce and red pepper. Cook 5 minutes or until asparagus is crisp tender, stirring frequently. Stir in pasta, salt, black pepper, chicken and tomatoes. Cook 2 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Stir in cheese and sprinkle with paprika.
