While pasta cooks, simmer alfredo sauce. Melt butter in shallow pan and cook mushrooms until tender. Add the mushrooms to the simmering sauce. Keep simmering.
Boil a small pot of water until rapidly boiling. When pasta is fully cooked, drop the shrimp into the small pot of boiling water for a few seconds until pink and plump. Remove immediately.
Drain pasta and put back into large pot. Add shrimp and mushroom sauce. Stir and serve.
