Ingredients

-	2 sticks softened butter
-	1 cup sugar
-	2 eggs
-	1 1/2 tbsp almond extract
-	2 1/2 cups flour
-	1/8 teaspoon salt
-	1/2 teaspoon baking soda
-	whole or sliced almonds


Instructions


preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.Cream the butter and sugar with a mixer.then mix in the eggs and almond extract.


in a separate bowl,combine the flour,salt,and baking soda.then add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and mix until the dough is crumbly.


roll the dough so it is half an inch thick.use cookie cutter to cut out lots of shapes. Put an almond in the middle of each cookie.


bake on a tray covered with foil for 12 to 15 minutes.
